……..one that has a very interesting Saturday and a rather boring Sunday. Saturday evening was great fun. I managed to catch up with a Ash & Nubu for a foreign flick (which thankfully had English sub-titles) at a place near office in the evening and then we headed out to dinner at Infintea.
First, the flick, which had already started by the time my wife and me entered the theatre and found some seats in the last row managing to disturb nobody and watched a movie called – “The Camera Buff”. At the end of it, my plans of wanting to learn how to click good pictures went haywire with the repercussions that were portrayed of getting too involved in a hobby.
Then the four of us we went out for dinner. After much debate and discussion we finally decided to go a place that I have not been to in a really long time – Infinitea. It’s a nice little joint on Cunningham road which was started eons ago and as the name suggests, it was supposed to be a tea house focusing on the various teas found around the world and somewhere on the way has added lots of nice food as well. The Chef & the staff are very helpful and gave some wonderful suggestions on the teas and the food options available at the place.
All the ladies were on a diet and wanted a non-greasy but tasty meal (now that’s an oxymoron according to me), so they instructed the chef accordingly who nodded in agreement. Yours truly on the other hand ensured that the Lasagna he ordered had loads of cheese and was nicely done so that he could make up for the diet plan he was forced to follow at home. Dinner arrived quite quickly and was really good. We all enjoyed chatting, gossiping and catching up on some old times. The topics ranged from Ash’s cats & their peculiar habits to the problems & the challenges facing the old workplace while speculating on what the future held for the current lot.
The tea (sweet dish in my case) rounded off a perfectly wonderful evening spent in the happy company of friends who I think are Super people. (I really mean it you guys.)
Sunday on the other hand was dull, dreary and boring. I go out bed really late (as usual) skimmed the pages of the Sunday Times, had lunch followed by a Siesta. The siesta was probably the highlight of the day. Then I caught up with N, H & K at N’s place for tea. (Seems like I am getting into a rut of food & sleep). K was all glowing and looking happy with the little life that was growing in her. And H was of course, overjoyed about the fact that K was glowing.
Then we went to my folks place for dinner, but the brat of my nephew refused to go out, so we ended up eating at home. The dinner was average, though the menu was decided at my instance and it was cooked in the manner that I usually prefer to eat it.
And when we drove home, I notice that some jerk from one of the apartments had parked in my parking spot. And this just cheesed me off completely. The watchman had no idea who was the person and which one was his apartment. So I had to park in someone else’s spot, had to go up to write a letter that I stuck on his windshield asking him not to park in my spot again. I mean, is he duh or just decided that his highness can park any bloody place he likes. Anyway, watched the ending of Bend it Like Beckham and My Best Friend’s wedding (simultaneously) and then went to bed.
Sigh! Another Monday and another week to go through till Sunday comes around again.
When will THIS rut get over? I wonder……….

Awww. Thanks amit, i had a great time as well. And dude, when, and i mean when, have you ever seen me eating diet food? Or did you fail to notice that the ravioli i had was as brimming with melted cheese as a heartbroken girl's eyes with tears? (Oh my god, that was the most bizarre comparison to date.)
